Stamping Plate: Born Pretty Store - BPL-055 (Text Plate) # 36313*

This is a large stamping plate measuring 125mm by 65mm. It comes backed with a hard plastic.

On the plate itself it has 26 single images. As you can see all of the images stamped across really well which is great.

I have currently got quite long nails and something which can be frustrating about this is stamping plates have supposedly full nail images but these won't fit on my nails. This plate the full size images are big enough to fit on my nails. With that if you have smaller nails these deigns may be too large for your nails.

Review: Born Pretty Store - Holographic Pigment Powder (inc demo) #33256*

You get 1g of product which may not sound much but it is quite a lot for what you need. It comes in a little twist lid tub sealed with a cardboard stopper. Also comes with a sponge tipped applicator.

The idea is you paint your nails and use a UV / Gel topcoat, it has to be one which leaves a sticky residue once 'cured' under the UV / Gel light. Once the topcoat is cured you use the applicator to apply some product, dabbing at first and then rubbing the product in to the nail to create a stunning holographic finish on the nails. Finally setting this in place with another layer of topcoat.

I find the finish of this pigment is very intense, something which you can't quite recreate with a standard holographic nail polish. Using the powder in this way also means that you won't end up with brush makes which you can do with standard nail polish.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Red and Pink - Smear for Smear

I am a little early with my nail art for the Smear for Smear campaign. However I think the nails also tie in with the pink / red themed challenge for 26 great nail art ideas.

The idea is during 22nd - 28th January it is smear for smear week, whereby people in the UK raise awareness for how important it is to get your cervical screening test done, as uncomfortable and embarrassing as it is. People who have a cervix need to get them checked! Sera worded the importance much better than I could (read it here).

Traditionally you smear your lipstick and post a selfie, me being a nail art person started with a light pink base and stamped some red lips on to my nails and then smeared those with acetone.
