Nail Polish Battle 2019: Green and Blue
Today we are going over the green and blue polishes I have amassed this year;
So there were eight polishes in this category, I really like the finished look I get from Nicole Diary - ND01, it is duochrome with scattered holographic pieces making it look almost cosmic. My only issue is you have to layer it over a black base polish. Another I liked a lot was Let The Wild Rumpus Begin, it is a deep navy / charcoal with multicolour holographic pieces.
That said I surprisingly for me went for the lightest of the three as the winner Blueberry Muffin. I am a big fan of the gelly range from Barry M in general and this has only increased with the change to the brush type, now it is flat, wide and rounded at the cuticle. This shade is something quite different in my collection, it is a teal / aqua cream. I would say that the shade is very hard to get a colour accurate photo of, it is more like the swatch picture than the bottle shot.

Nail Polish Battle 2019: Pink and Red
As pink isn't my favourite colour breaking down this category to my top three was quite easy. Cambridge Mews is a raspberry pink, as with the newer Nails Inc polishes it has a nice flat and wide brush which I like. Shall Be My Queen is a mid toned red which is also holographic which would look a lot better in direct sunlight which at this time of year in the north it is harder to come by!
Which means that Angora Cardi is the winner, it is a dusty, muted pink shade which for me is more wearable than the other pink polishes. The colour is more accurate in the swatch below than the bottle shot. I think Shall Be My Queen could have won if there were more sun around to bring out the holographic pieces.
