Nail Polish Battle 2024: Red

Today's battle is red polishes;

Orly Golden Waves // Orly Take Flight // Nails Inc St James // Orly Rustic Root // Cuticula Burning Embers // Orly Velvet Ribbon

From the six red and brown polishes I chose my top three;

St James is a bright red cream finish polish, a great basic for nail art;

Burning Embers is a dark red dense flakie polish, I don't have any other red flakie polishes so it is a good addition to my collection;

And finally Rustic Root which is the winner, it is a brick red which has a bit of a shimmer;

Nails: Top 5 Autumn / Fall Polishes 2024

As autumn arrives today I thought I would share my top five autumn / fall nail polishes. Polishes I plan on wearing as autumn rolls in.

I have done similar posts in 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, and 2013.

Orly Act of Folly // Orly Rustic Root // OPI Dutch Ya Just Love OPI // Rimmel Blue Sea Star // Fancy Gloss Magma

Orly Act of Folly is a grungy moss green, a colour which to me seems very autumnal. It was also part of Orly's autumn release last year.

Orly Rustic Root is a brick red another colour which is autumnal like one of the colours leaves turn. Again this was from autumn this year's autumn Orly release.

OPI Dutch Ya Just Love OPI this is a plum purple shade with a subtle golden shimmer. I think it was part of the summer 2012 Holland collection, but I think its more autumnal.

Rimmel Blue Sea Star is a dusty blue cream, during autumn the nights get longer and this reminds me of that. I don't know when this was released.

 

Fancy Gloss Magma is a flakie topper, the flakes are multichrome going from yellow to orange to red again very much like the leaves at this time of year.
