Today is officially the Spring equinox and so I thought now would be a good time to share my Spring 2019 nail polish picks. I have done this type of post before which you can see 2018 here, 2017 here, 2015 here and 2014 here.
You don't need these specific polishes, but these are the ones I reach for more during Spring. Pastel colours are mainly Spring specific, but I seem to also like a holographic pop of colour with Puck a Fairy.
OPI - I'll Have A Gin and Tectonic - A peachy nude, nice as a nail art base.
China Glaze - Werk It Honey! - Would it be a spring nail polish selection without a yellow? This one is opaque in two coats which is appreciated for a pale yellow.
Whittling down to my top three wasn't too hard for this round;
A England - Puck a Fairy is a stunning, vivid aqua colour. Really quite a statement polish and one which I would wear as is which is quite something!
A England - Catherine Howard is also a holographic green polish, this one is more muted than Puck a Fairy. But still a nice holographic green.
And the winner of this round is, Born Pretty Store - Taj Mahal. This is a super shifty duochrome polish, very strong colour change from purple to green. Can't stop looking at my nails when I wear this one.
Seeing as the Summer Solstice is just around the corner I thought I should share my top summer polishes for 2018. If you are interested you can see my summer picks for 2017 here, 2015 here and 2014 here.
A England - Puck A Fairy - This is a stunningly vivid teal holographic polish, in the sun light it really does pop.
Barry M - Passion Fruit - A bright red which leans slightly orange based, would look good with a tan.
KPT - Color Therapy - In the swatch above I used this over white and I think that it really does pop and look more summery over a white rather than the black as shown below.
Color Club - Mrs Robinson - A jelly neon purple polish, these is something about the sun and wearing a neon polish.
Barry M - Bronze Bae - A metallic polish which is gold based, another one which would look good with a tan. Or of course if you are a professional sun dodger like me, works well without a tan too!
