Topic Tuesday: Polishes for Winter Holidays

Top five polishes for the winter holidays would have to include Barry M White Moonstone which is a textured white. Nailed It Peppermint Bark which is a off white with micro red flakies. Fancy Gloss Candy Cane a red thermal with festive glitters. A England Proserpine a deep green holographic and Essie Hors d'oeuvres which is a packed full coverage glitter.

Nails: Top 5 Winter Polishes 2021

As yesterday was Yule, the Winter Solstice signalling the start of the official winter season in the Northern Hemisphere I thought now would be a good time to share my top five winter polishes. I have done similar blog posts in previous years 2020 (here), 2019 (here), 2018 (here), 2017 (here) and 2016 (here).

Gold Rush is a straight up metallic gold polish, very vivid but seasonal.

White Moonstone is new to my collection, a white textured polish with a slight sparkle to it. A white is always good for nail art around this time of year, having texture to it is something a bit different.

Candy Cane is another new to my collection polish, it is a thermal going between light pink and red with red and white glitter pieces. Almost like nail art in a bottle.

Icicle is a silver holographic bar glitter with micro glitter particles in it. For me this might be more New Year appropriate but anytime in December holographic polish would work.

Finally Proserpine, which is a darker green holographic polish. Green is a shade I lean towards in December, as this is holographic is adds something extra to a cream green.

Nail Polish Battle 2017: Blues

The blue category is large with nine polishes.

Barry M - Huckleberry // Barry M - Sky Blue // Barry M - Elderberry // Barry M - Blueberry // Nails Inc - Baker Street // A England - Order of the Garter // A England - Spirit of the Moors // Barry M - Blue Jade // A England - Proserpine

I did manage to get them down to my top three;

Nails Inc - Baker Street // A England - Spirit of the Moors // Barry M - Blue Jade

Baker Street blew up a few years ago when Beyoncé wore it. It is a cream finish polish which is quite vivid.

Blue Jade was a late comer in to my collection, it is nice I think for this time of year, a deeper blue than Baker Street but it is a bit more of a smoky blue.

Spirit of the Moors was one I was gifted for my birthday, it is a bright blue which holographic. Which if you have been following this series you will know is one of my favourite finishes.
