Nail Polish Battle 2023: Winner!

The top three of 2023 were;

Working out the winner was difficult.

Orbit was the first to go, it isn't massively unique to my collection. I do like it though, just similar but a bit different ILNP Eclipse but grey rather than black.

In second place Cold Weather Blues, I think this came second because of it being a thermal and the pigment doesn't last forever in those. It is a white to blue thermal with hex, micro and snowflake glitters.

Which means the 2023 new to my collection polish is, How Polarizing. As this is magnetic there isn't a shelf life to it which means I can enjoy it as is for as long as I have it. Its a navy magnetic polish with scattered holo particles.

Nail Polish Battle 2023: Top Three

Below are the eight polishes which won each of their battles;

Some of these were easy to get ride of, especially Sunflower as its currently December and its too bright for me at the moment. While I have chosen my top three currently I'm unsure which will win.

So the top three of 2023 is;

Cold Weather Blues is a white to blue thermal with hex, micro and snowflake glitters. Such a nice winter polish and I'm hoping the thermal pigment stays alive for some time to come.

How Polarizing is a navy magnetic polish with scattered holo particles.

ILNP Orbit is a grey to red ultra multichrome polish, similar to ILNP Eclipse but grey rather than black.

Nail Polish Battle 2023: White, Grey, Black, Nude

This past year I have added ten polishes in to this category;

After thinking about it the following were my top three;

In third place is Endless Night, a gunmetal grey metallic which leans slightly blue.

Second place is Holo Be Thy Name, a dark black linear holographic polish. Hard to make a dark holographic because the partials that do that are grey which lightens polishes. I like this one, the bottle is unique too.

Picking between the top two was difficult, however Orbit won because I own quite a few black holographic polishes and Orbit is unique. It is a grey to red ultra multichrome polish, similar to ILNP Eclipse but grey rather than black.

Nail Polish Battle: Glitter, GITD, Jelly, Thermal

This category is a catch all for all other new polishes which haven't fit in to other battles.

As there was so many in this category it took some time to work out the top three;

In third place is Wild Card which is a purple, green, black hex glitter topper polish. It is a great one for Halloween month;

The second place polish is Wing It, a black bat shaped glitter with micro black glitters. This is very unique to my collection and although it takes some dabbing to spread across the nail it is definitely worth it;

Choosing the winner was really hard, Cold Weather Blues is a white to blue thermal with hex, micro and snowflake glitters. Such a nice winter polish and I'm hoping the thermal pigment stays alive for some time to come.

Nail Polish Battle 2023: Blue

There were eight new polishes in this category in 2023;

Choosing my top three wasn't too hard;

Cornflower comes third, it is a nice mid blue cream polish. I like how deep it is without being too dark.

Blue Guava was from the summer release, I like how bright blue this cream is.

And so in first place is Written in the Stars, which is a light icy blue shimmer polish. I think snowflakes would look good over this.

Nail Polish Battle 2023: Red, Brown

Choosing of the top three wasn't too hard this round;

In third Persistent Memory, a cream dark red which isn't too dark on you can tell it is still a red.

Second place was harder to choose, in the end I went for Elysian Fields. It is a very marmite shade, and I can see myself reaching for it a lot during October.

The winner is Stop the Clock, a chocolate, autumn colour shimmer polish. This won as I see myself wearing it throughout autumn rather than for one month.
