Nails: Top 5 Summer Polishes 2018

Seeing as the Summer Solstice is just around the corner I thought I should share my top summer polishes for 2018. If you are interested you can see my summer picks for 2017 here, 2015 here and 2014 here.

A England - Puck A Fairy - This is a stunningly vivid teal holographic polish, in the sun light it really does pop.

Barry M - Passion Fruit - A bright red which leans slightly orange based, would look good with a tan.

KPT - Color Therapy - In the swatch above I used this over white and I think that it really does pop and look more summery over a white rather than the black as shown below.

Color Club - Mrs Robinson - A jelly neon purple polish, these is something about the sun and wearing a neon polish.

Barry M - Bronze Bae - A metallic polish which is gold based, another one which would look good with a tan. Or of course if you are a professional sun dodger like me, works well without a tan too!

Nails: Top 5 Summer Polishes 2015

Today is the Summer Solstice which also means summer is officially here and I thought I would share my top 5 Summer polishes. If you wanted to see what top five polishes I chose for summer 2014 you can here.

I used Color Club's Mrs Robinson which I got before May 2012, so most certainly a golden oldie polish!

MoYou Nails have recently released a new batch of stamping plates. I have used the brand before and have purchased plates from them before, you can see my reviews on their other plates here. This plate was sent for reviewing purposes, which won't effect my opinion.

 

As you can see the plates come in a cellophane package and have a blue plastic layer to protect the plate in transit. The plates are fully backed as well with the website address, this is useful as it also means no sharp edges. Which in turn means my fingers don't get cut with sharp edges!

 

Below is the images stamped on to white paper. They all stamped well, perhaps a little wonky but again that is down to the squishy stamper I used. There are four full sized images, measuring in at 15mm x 18mm. Which is wider than some of the previous MoYou Nails plates, so if you had problems with those images being too slim for nails these should fit better.

33 Day Nail Challenge: New Technique

There aren't a lot of nail art techniques I haven't tried, but something I have been meaning to try for a while is a 'jelly stampwich'. Being that in between the layers of the jelly (semi transparent) polish, I stamped some hands.
