Review: BornPrettyStore - Nail Foil in Leopard Print*
These are listed on the Born Pretty Store as "1Pc Enchanting Flower Lip Starry Nail Art Roll Foils Strawberry Feather Glitter Transfer Stick". The particular nail foil I am reviewing is design number C17, a darker leopard print.
As you will be able to see the foil design doesn't transfer across perfectly, choosing a complementary base polish is a good way around this. This was my first time using nail foils and I found there was a bit of a learning curve with them but it wasn't too difficult.
Tips:
- Use complementary base polish
- Wait for the nail foil glue to go transparent
- Make sure to use the design so the design is facing upwards
- Test your topcoat on one nail first to see about potential shrinkage

First I began by using Leighton Denny's Supermodel as a base;
Apply some nail foil glue over the nails and wait for it to turn transparent.
I found cutting single nail sized foils useful. To use these you need to place the underside of the foils on to the nails. For this particular foil it was easy to distinguish between the two sides, one side was patterned one was white.
I then rubbed the foils on to the glue, I used a mixture of my nail, a hoof stick and my finger wrapped in cotton wool to get the edges stuck down. Once the design looked as though it was coming away from the clear plastic I removed the foil leaving behind the design.
Usually with foils you can't use a topcoat because it causes the foil to shrink. I used HK Girl Fast Dry Top Coat, and for me this didn't cause shrinking.
The design may be a little much for every nail so I thought I would see what it looked like as an accent nail, which worked quite well.
